Columbia Foundation

About Us

​​The Columbia Foundation was established July 12, 1976, as a non-profit, tax-exempt Virginia Corporation. It assists people in need from all walks of life in all social and ethnic groups by providing grants and loans to help finance:
  • Food and clothing expenses;
  • Medical, social, and housing needs;
  • Day care payments;
  • Tuition for professional training, college, seminary, and the Columbia Institute of Fine Arts; and
  • Christian ministries and outreach.

The Foundation is managed by a twelve-member volunteer Board of Directors.  


Mission: To meet the needs  of others  following the example of Christ and his disciples.
